Natalie Powell is a Western Australian artist who discovered her love of watercolour painting after settling by the ocean on Perth's north shore with her husband and their Greyhound, Olive. Together, they spend much of their free time exploring the coastal walks and beaches near their home, which inspired the brand name of Salty Olive Studio.

Natalie's work is largely inspired by the natural beauty and colour palette of the coastal environment, but is also influenced by her time living in Japan with her young family, where she was surrounded by hues of blue and indigo. With her two children now grown and starting families of their own, Natalie has time to explore the delicate, fluid medium of watercolour, adding a new layer to her creative journey.

She aims to create beautiful pieces that capture the majesty of the sea, perfect for coastal or Hamptons-inspired decor, whether hung as wall art or sent as unique greeting cards.
