Prior to its voyage to Batavia, now known as Jakarta, the splendid ship Batavia was moored at Texel, being carefully loaded with valuable goods and treasures. Elegant travellers, captivated by the ship’s majesty, embarked with no knowledge of the tragic destiny that awaited them on their journey. This refined bookmark features a print of an original watercolour artwork, measuring 5cm by 15cm. Made from 360 GSM card with a protective anti-scuff laminate, it is elegantly finished with a delicate golden tassel.
